This new recording is very special to me. I took almost two years on it. I co-wrote most of the songs so I was a lot more involved. I had never written songs for the other two recordings. Dad and I produced the whole thing by ourselves this go around. That might be why it took two years also. This recording is very deep lyrically ![]() This new recording is very special to me. ![]() To students of culture, it is one of America’s most interesting phenomena. To students of theology and things of a religious nature, it is an important part of the nature of worship among Christians. And finally, to its most ardent fans, it is simultaneously a source of entertainment, comfort, and inspiration
![]() Cancer. A terrible word that strikes fear into the heart. It was a word completely unexpected as the diagnosis for David Needham, patriarch of The Needhams. In February of 2007, right around his 69th birthday, David began to feel “off”. It was nothing specific, but he was just not well
I have been so blessed to have lived long enough to have seen some of the great groups of yesteryear. I have great memories of seeing the Statesmen with Rosie, Jake, Doyle, Big Chief, and Hovie. I remember seeing the Blackwood Brothers singing in the Arthur Godfrey Show
The phrase “passing the buck” means transferring responsibility or blame to another person. The phrase got started back in the second half of the 19th century when people played a lot of poker. There was lots of cheating going on, and so they would change the dealer with each turn
I am a “race horse” who lives in a world full of turtles. I love to gallop, except for when I can run at full speed. Deadlines and schedules are motivators for me. I don’t like “late-nicks.” My mantra is, “It is better to be fifteen minutes early than to be fifteen seconds late”.
Entertainment or Ministry? Mankind has wrestled with this age-old question only to find themselves at odds over business and the call to minister. Let me just say, as always, this is just my OPINION. Anything more would put me in the self-proclaimed EXPERT category
When I was teaching in the Music School, I often taught a workshop on just what Gospel Music really is. I would like to address that very subject this month, because I believe in order to sing the music right, you must have the right music, and you must know what Gospel music really is
Here's an old love story, Of a woman and a man, And a child sent down from heaven, All the way to Bethlehem, There's nothing new about it, It's all been said befor, But every time I hear it, I want to hear a little more
We are human and sometimes we "just wanna be mad for awhile." That includes us Christians as well. Take a look at a few comments on blogs or message boards and you'll see what I mean. We get a little too critical too quickly before we know all of the facts. Sometimes we direct that negative energy at people without thinking

While driving down HWY 169 in our rental van, we saw quite a site. One that I never imagined I'd see in Missouri of all places. We were nearing our engagement when one of the guys began pointing to something on our left.
I can see us all bundled up at the local Christmas tree lot, circa 1959-1960, mom and dad and us kids. There was a fire burning in a steel drum where a man took turns blowing into his hands and then stretching them out to the fire. There were strings of colored lights outlining the perimeter of the lot
I’m an alien. In 2005, I traveled from my hometown of Toronto, Ontario, Canada to Nashville, Tennessee to attend Ben Speer’s Stamps-Baxter School of Music. It was an incredible experience, and on the last night of the school, God answered months of prayer by calling me into full-time music ministry.
It is my prayer that each of you will join me in proclaiming and celebrating the greatness of this most blessed and glorious season, the season we call Christmas.
Oh! “The Greatness of It All…” Our favorite part of Christmas has to be all the church plays and stories that are brought to life about the birth of Jesus. It is like seeing your favorite movie that never gets old; it always has a way of touching your heart, no matter how many times you've seen it.
Now it is time for us to move on to the Blessed time of our Saviors Birth, Christmas: For unto us a Child was born : it has been our family tradition to read the Christmas story out of Luke Chapter 2, my Mom started this many years ago
This time of year always seems to bring a lot of great memories and reflections from a year gone by so fast. The one thing that I love seeing is more people and businesses saying Merry Christmas instead of the so-called correctness of Happy Holidays or the dreaded Merry X-mas
You never know who God is going to use to meet your need when you least expect it. So it safe to say, that this Holiday season, The King's Heralds are truly thankful that we serve a God who cares about broken down vehicles
